Cookies, kept
to a minimum.

We are a video and web studio, not an ad broker. This site sets one cookie of its own, and only to remember what you told the consent rail. This page says what it holds, how long it stays and how to clear it. Plain words, no fog.

What a cookie is, and the one we set

A cookie is a small text file your browser keeps for a site. It cannot read your files. It cannot watch other tabs. It can only hand back what was written into it.

Ours is called a call sheet, after the sheet a crew works from on a shoot day. It holds two things. The scope you picked, and the date you picked it. That is all. Read the privacy notice for the wider picture, or the terms for the rules of use.

Three jobs a cookie can do here

  • Strictly necessary

These keep the pages loading and the enquiry form working. They hold no name and no history. You cannot turn them off, because without them the site stops working.

  • Consent record

One cookie remembers the choice you made on the rail at the foot of the page. That is the whole job. It saves you from being asked again on every visit.

  • Measurement

Only set if you say yes. It counts visits to a page in the aggregate. We use it to see which work people read, then to write more of that.

Change your mind whenever you like

Consent is a choice, not a trap. Nothing on this site punishes a refusal. Say no and every page still works the same way.

  1. Clear the cookie

Delete site data for ridgemoormedia.com in your browser. The consent rail returns on your next visit.

  2. Choose again

Pick essentials only, or say yes to the lot. Both buttons carry the same weight. Neither one hides.

  3. Or write to us

Mail us and we will confirm what is held and remove it. A person replies, not a ticket queue.

What we never do with cookies

  • No ad networks

We run no advertising tags, so no broker builds a profile of you from this site.

  • No cross-site tracking

Nothing we set follows you off ridgemoormedia.com. The cookie is read here and nowhere else.

  • No selling of data

We do not sell, rent or trade anything a visit to this site produces. There is no market we take part in.

  • No fingerprinting

We do not build a hidden device signature to work around a refusal. A no means no.

Still want a straight answer?

Ask us. We answer questions about data the same way we scope a film. Directly, and before anyone signs anything. That habit is why clients bring us the video and the website together.
